The first writing assignment will be a memoir. With our memoirs we focused on the following writing qualities:
* thoughts and feelings
* make a movie behind eyelids
* lead that captures the interest of the audience- reaction, action, or dialogue
* ending that is satisfying and leaves the reader thinking
* editing writing using an editing checklist
* title that is catchy and intriguing
